Let me introduce myself Stretch I am Martin Ryan, alias Stretch. I live in the wonderful city of Nijmegen with my wife Esther. Arsenal is my football team. Dance Valley is my favourite festival. I have a company called NijLon Travel under the guise Dutchweekenders.com. I have been in the music business, in some shape or form, for Twenty years now. From humble beginnings, in London as a bedroom DJ, to Mobile Disco, Club DJ, Party promoter, Radio presenter, Recording artist and now, to Live performer. You could argue that I have been a live performer as an MC, but that would not be correct. An old friend once told me: you are just another tool for the DJ to use when he wants. That is what I have tried to be, sometimes I might get caught up in the party and perhaps go a bit further, or not SHUT UP as some people would prefer to say! But for me, always, the music should speak for its self! Simple! If the music is crap then ... So, here I am, about to embark on a journey, in which I put my heart, mind, body and soul on the line. Big shoes to fill in Caroline and a reputation to up hold with the life performances so, as they say in Madchester: Come on, Lets have it!! I must thank Ronald and Jeroen for the opportunity and have greatly enjoyed my time writing with them and Nova. Who knows what the future will hold but I can tell you this honestly, hand on heart , the live shows with the new sound, will be very special. Dont be surprised if there are a few hiccups in the early stages, thats life.
